"Chlorophyll--The Super-Octane in Greens" Definition: Chlorophyll is the chemical formed by the chloroplast cells of green plants. It is the beginning of the food chain-the plasma of green plants. Without chlorophyll all animal and human life on earth would become extinct. Amazingly, this 'blood of plants' is structurally similar to hemin, the protein portion of hemoglobin that carries oxygen. Wow! That's a mouthful. The primary difference is that chlorophyll is bound by an atom of magnesium while hemin is bound by iron. Severely anemic rabbits made a rapid return to normal blood counts once chlorophyll was administered. Somehow the body is able to substitute iron and rebuild the blood, in effect giving the anemic patient a transfusion. Healing Properties: Chlorophyll has long been famous for its ability to heal infected and ulcerated wounds. Tissue cell activity and its normal regrowth are increased by using Chlorophyll. It is an important medicine for healing bleeding gums, canker sores, trench mouth, pyorrhea, gingivitis, even sore throat. Chlorophyll's unique ability to kill odor producing bacteria is the reason it covers up the smell of garlic, fights bad breathe, body odor, and acts as a general antiseptic. These bacteria live without air and are destroyed by Chlorophyll's oxygen-producing agents. Dr. Otto Warburg, the 1931 Nobel Prize winner concluded that oxygen deprivation, at the cellular level, is a major underlying cause of cancer. At least one alternative cancer therapy today bombards tumors with ozone-highly active oxygen. Unlike many drugs, Chlorophyll has never been found to be toxic at any dose. Experiments on guinea pigs demonstrated that radiation-poisoned guinea pigs recovered when Chlorophyll rich vegetables were added to their diet. The U.S. Army repeated this experiment with broccoli and alfalfa and got the same results. But eating green vegetables is not as rich a source of Chlorophyll as drinking green juice. The more I learn about the properties of green food, like Chlorophyll, raw calcium, raw protein, etc., the more I understand the healing I see in people (my friends, customers, relatives, myself) with sickness and disease.
